Practice Policies
At TenderCare Counselling, we are committed to providing a professional, transparent, and secure environment for our clients in Monash and across Australia.
1. Privacy & Confidentiality
We manage your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
- Collection: We only collect information necessary to provide high-quality counselling, such as your contact details and relevant health history.
- Storage: Your records are kept in secure, encrypted digital storage to protect against unauthorized access.
- Confidentiality: What is discussed in sessions stays between us.
Legal Exceptions to Confidentiality: Disclosure may be required if there is a legal obligation (subpoena), or if I believe there is a significant risk of harm to yourself or others.
2. Cancellation & No-Show Policy
As a sole trader, your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. To ensure the sustainability of the practice, the following policy applies:
- 24-Hour Rule: Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to reschedule or cancel.
- Late Cancellations: Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a 50% session fee.
- Non-Attendance: If you miss a session without any notice ("No-Show"), the full session fee will apply.
- Telehealth Option: If you cannot make it in person but are available via phone/video, we can switch to Telehealth to avoid a fee.
By booking a session with TenderCare Counselling, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
